Mac and the Poet Laura-eate at Cole's - Friday 28th May 2010

After a cracking first Poetry evening, Cole’s Books was delighted to welcome back local Poet and Comedian ‘Mac McFadden’ for an evening of poetry. Also featuring was local poet Laura King, the Oxford 'Poet Laura-eate'.

The ‘Open Mic’ session showed what a talented group for poets there are in Bicester, everything from the poetry of the Great War, through to some very touching and personal work - very brave indeed.
Mac threw down the challenge of creating a poem during the break, based on a selection of random words supplied by the audience, the resulting exclusive reading of 'Phantasmagoria' was enjoyed by all.
